This La Posta Malbec is a 100% Malbec named for the Pizzella family vineyard, in Paraje Altamira in Mendoza’s Uco Valley at roughly 3,600 feet, where limestone-strewn soils help give the wine extra lift and a firmer, “chalkier” structure. It’s typically dark-fruited and plush (black cherry, plum) but not heavy, with violet, cocoa, and warm spice notes and a savory mineral edge. A mix of French oak and stainless aging adds polish while keeping it bright and food-friendly, making it a standout single-vineyard expression within La Posta’s Malbec lineup.
